Air & Water - A Powerful Combination
Wondering how a toilet can use as little as 3 litres and still clear waste? It’s simple! Unlike other toilets, Proficiency harnesses the power of air and physics to use less water and maintain the flushing power you’re used to in high consumption toilets. Let us show you how.
Compression
After each flush, your Proficiency toilet tank refills. As it does, incoming water begins to compress air into the toilet’s trapway, through a small transfer tube. This refill process pressurizes the toilet trap and primes it for its next powerful but sustainable 3 litre flush.
Pull NOT Push
Unlike pressure assist toilets, the pressurized trapway in your Proficiency will act as a vacuum. When a flush is engaged, the patented BSB chamber will draw the air from your trapway, forcefully pulling water and waste from the bowl into waste lines. This quiet siphon action adds additional power to every flush, without any extra steps for the user.
Whisper Quiet
Despite being one of the most powerful UHET models, Proficiency also offers a quiet flush and refill process. Unlike pressure assist models, our flushing power comes from suction within the pressurized trapway, eliminating unnecessary hissing, spraying and splashing.

Vitreous china warranty covers fading, cracking and discoloration from manufacturer’s defect. Damage from cleaning products, misuse and other user error is not covered.

With only 3L per flush, Proficiency ultra high efficiency ratings give you the lowest possible flush volume. Compared to high efficiency 4.8L models, Proficiency reduces toilet water use by an EXTRA 37.5% without any sacrifice to performance.
No Flapper = Less Leaks
Over time toilet flappers begin to leak, causing water loss and extra water costs. Proficiency’s patented system replaces the traditional clunky flapper, with a seal that is set into place after every flush, minimizing leaking over time and better managing water costs.
Flushing Consistency
Every Proficiency toilet uses a patented cannister inside of the tank that keeps every flush to ~3 litres. Traditional flapper systems, can release much more water depending on how the flapper is set. Many competing low flow toilets can flush up 8 litres if the flush button is held for an extra 1-2 seconds.

Only the 3L of water inside of this cannister is evacuated during each regular flush providing Proficiency owners maximum water savings and flush volume reliability.
Other 3 Litre Toilet Models
Other 3 litre toilets use traditional flapper systems that can release as much as 7 litres per flush if the flush handle is suppressed for more than 1 second. Some competing 3L models can flush over 4 litres right out of the box. Proficiency’s patented flushing technology ensures 3 litre flushing and maximizes your savings

Because Hennessy & Hinchcliffe’s patented toilet design combines air and water to flush, at least 800 grams of waste can be cleared with every flush. To put that into perspective, solid waste from an adult is typically 300 grams or less.

No, Proficiency installs easily and quickly using the same practices as most other toilets. Proficiency does not require any electrical hook up or unique plumbing.

Proficiency toilets do not require any extra maintenance vs standard toilets. Because Proficiency is flapper free, maintenance is even easier, with the seal on the flush tower being replaced in under 60 seconds at a fraction of the cost of a traditional flapper.

Yes, Proficiency toilets sold after 2018 can be plunged like any other toilet. Older models without a check valve on the air transfer system can also be plunged, but should not be plunged aggressively.
